Fiat Dino 2.0L V6 and 5-Speed Gearbox
This 2.0-liter V6 and five-speed manual gearbox were produced for use in a Fiat Dino, and the seller recently acquired the pair in a parts collection. The engine features an aluminum block, oil pan, and cylinder heads, as well as magnesium valve covers. Weber 40 DCN carburetors and exhaust headers have been retained and will accompany the pair. This Fiat Dino engine and gearbox are now offered by 1600veloce, a Local Partner, at no reserve in North Salem, New York.

The Tipo 135B engine is a 65° V6 that powered the 1966-1969 Fiat Dino as well as Ferrari Dino 206 GT models. It arose from a Fiat/Ferrari collaboration to homologate a Ferrari V6 engine for Formula 2 racing, and it was produced at Fiat’s Turin factory. Features include an aluminum block, oil pan, and cylinder heads.

Double overhead camshafts on each cylinder bank are housed under magnesium covers that display Dino script. Oil filler caps are secured to each cover. The seller notes that the engine turns by hand, and the results of a leak-down test are shown in the gallery.

A trio of two-barrel Weber carburetors will accompany the engine along with a pair of three-into-one exhaust headers.

The Fiat 135AC gearbox features a multi-piece case that houses five forward gears in addition to reverse.

Various casting numbers and stampings can be seen up close in the gallery below.
