This 2008 Honda S2000 is one of approximately 700 Club Racer models produced for the US market, and it has 42k miles. The car is finished in Berlina Black over black Alcantara and yellow cloth, and it is powered by a 2.2-liter VTEC inline-four linked to a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Features include 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels, xenon headlights, and cruise control as well as CR-specific features including a rear wing, a removable hardtop, aerodynamic aids, a rear chassis brace, quicker steering, and stiffer springs and anti-roll bars. This S2000 CR is now offered in New York by the selling dealer at no reserve with the owner’s manual, a car cover, spare parts, and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The car is finished in Berlina Black (NH-547) and features CR-specific bodywork including a revised front spoiler, a rear wing, additional chassis bracing, and a removable black hardtop and tonneau cover in place of the standard soft top. Additional equipment includes xenon headlights, roll hoops, and oval-tipped exhaust outlets. The Carfax report indicates that an October 2010 accident involving another vehicle resulted in “disabling” damage to the front. The selling dealer notes that the hood, front bumper cover, radiator support, and front fenders were subsequently replaced. The grille was replaced in March 2018, and the front spoiler was replaced in April 2019. Photos showing paint-meter readings and body-panel VIN stickers are included in the gallery.
The 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires, which show date codes from 2015. A replacement wheel was fitted and two wheels were finished in 2017. The CR model features higher-rate springs, stiffer anti-roll bars, and a quicker steering ratio compared to the standard AP2 S2000.
The cabin features CR seats upholstered in black Alcantara with yellow inserts and stitching, the latter of which is also found on the steering wheel, shift boot, and door panels. Features include push-button ignition, cruise control, and an aluminum shift knob. The car is not equipped with air conditioning or a stereo. The passenger seat’s lower cushion was reupholstered in October 2017.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a digital speedometer and a bar-style tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 42k miles.
The 2.2-liter VTEC F22C1 inline-four was factory rated at 237 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident.
