34k-Mile 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL

This 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL was sold new from Dowd Imports in Cleveland, Ohio, and now shows 34k miles. Finished in Champagne Metallic over Cream Beige leather, the car is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 linked to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. It rides on 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels and is further equipped with a body-color removable hardtop, a dark brown soft top, fog lights, a Becker cassette stereo, electric windows, central locking, cruise control, and R134a-based air conditioning. Sold on BaT in January 2017, this R107 was acquired by the selling dealer in 2025 and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a hardtop storage rack, a first aid kit, a tool roll, carpeted floor mats, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New York title.
The car is finished in Champagne Metallic (473) and features a body-color removable hardtop and a dark brown (746) convertible soft top. Additional details include quad headlights, fog lights, a power antenna, and chrome-accented bumpers and trim. Photos of body panel paint meter readings are viewable in the gallery below.
Silver-finished 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels are mounted with 205/65 Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring A/S tires showing 2020 date codes. The car was factory equipped with power steering, a fully independent suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The front brake pads and rotors were replaced, and the brake fluid was flushed in 2021.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in Cream Beige leather (275) along with a color-matching center console and door panels. The air conditioning system was converted to utilize R134a refrigerant under previous ownership, and appointments include a Becker AM/FM/cassette stereo, electric windows, central locking, and cruise control.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 34k miles, approximately 20 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
The 5.5-liter V8 was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. The oil pan gasket and drive belts were replaced in 2021.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Manufacturer’s literature will be included in the sale along with a hardtop storage rack, a first aid kit, a tool roll, carpeted floor mats, and spare parts.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
