This 1986 Jeep CJ-7 Laredo was exported to England under previous ownership and returned to the United States in 2025. The truck is finished in Garnet Metallic over black vinyl and is powered by a 258ci inline-six linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It rides on 15″ chrome-plated steel wheels, and is equipped with a Dana 44 rear axle, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, locking front hubs, a removable hardtop, auxiliary lights, and Laredo graphics. The interior is outfitted with a roll bar, a rear bench seat, a retro-style aftermarket head unit, and air conditioning. Work performed in preparation for the sale totaled approximately $14k and included servicing the air conditioning system and refreshing the steering components as well as replacing the clutch linkage, radiator, and other components as detailed below. This CJ-7 shows 113k miles and is now offered in New York by the selling dealer at no reserve with the owner’s manual, spare parts, and a clean Montana title.

The truck is finished in Garnet Metallic (3C) and received a repaint in 2017, at which time the left floor, windshield frame, and windshield were replaced. Exterior features include a removable hardtop, Laredo decals, a roll bar, dual side mirrors, auxiliary lights, hood latches, and black wheel arch flares. The 15″ chrome-plated steel wheels are mounted with 235/75 Goodyear Wrangler Radial tires that were installed in February 2025, and a matching spare is affixed to the rear cargo door. Power steering is equipped, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The leaf spring assembly and braking components were replaced in 2021, and in February 2025, the steering stabilizer, steering box, and right front locking hub were replaced.

The cab features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl, and interior appointments include a retro-style aftermarket head unit, a locking glovebox, a locking center console, Jeep-branded floormats, and air conditioning. The rearview mirror and right front seatbelt were replaced, and the right window regulator was repaired in February 2025. The cruise control is nonfunctional.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted on a replacement steering column and fronts an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, voltage, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 113k miles. 

The 258ci inline-six was factory rated at 112 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque and received a cylinder head rebuild in 2017. In 2023, the fuel pump, fuel filter, ignition coils, spark plugs, and distributor cap were replaced. Service completed between February and May 2025 by Collins Bros Jeep of Wylie, Texas, involved replacing the radiator, battery, horn, throttle spring, throttle cable, and underhood light in addition to servicing the air conditioning system.

Power is routed to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The selling dealer notes that a Dana 44 rear axle is also equipped. The clutch linkage was replaced, and the transmission fluid and rear differential fluid were changed in February 2025.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage from the initial entry in February 2025.
