The car was restored by Greg Adams in the 1990s and is finished in Dark Moss Green with dual white stripes and GT500 side stripes. Exterior details include a ducktail rear spoiler, fender extensions, air scoops on the sail and quarter panels, a fiberglass ventilated hood with a ram-air scoop, hood lock cables, inboard grille-mounted hi-beams, and dual exhaust outlets.

The 15″ five-spoke Magstar alloy wheels wear Shelby Cobra center caps and are mounted with E70-15 Goodyear Speedway tires. GT500 models utilized an upgraded suspension system with heavy-duty coil springs and an anti-roll bar up front in addition to heavy-duty leaf springs out back. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping is provided by front discs and rear drums. A BMR Suspension Level 2 cradle bushing lockout kit and aluminum rear cradle bushings were installed in December 2021 by Blue Chip Services of Englewood, Colorado. An alignment was performed following the work.

The woodgrain steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 48k miles, approximately 10 of which were added under current ownership. A history of the car notes that the odometer was rolled forward in the 1970s. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 428ci FE V8 was blueprinted and assembled in October 2009 by Blue Oval Performance, a process that included Magnafluxing, sonic mapping, and machining the block. Internal work involved balancing the rotating assembly and installing a Crower camshaft and custom dish-top pistons, while the cylinder heads received a multi-angle valve job and port blending. A C7ZX intake manifold and Holley carburetors top the engine, which is finished in Ford Dark Blue and equipped with a high-volume oil pump, a custom-curved distributor, Cobra Le Mans valve covers, and an Autolite dual-point distributor.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and an optional Traction-Lok limited-slip differential.
