This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster is noted to have been purchased from the original owner in 2000 by the previous owner, from whom it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2025. It is finished in black with a black soft top over black leather and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six fitted with triple SU carburetors. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission linked with a limited-slip differential, and the car is equipped with 15″ wire-spoke steel wheels, Koni shocks, and power-assisted disc brakes at all four corners. Additional details include enclosed headlights, triple windshield wipers, and bullet-style side mirrors in addition to a wood-rimmed steering wheel and an Alpine stereo. Now showing 79k miles, this XKE Series I roadster is offered by the selling dealer with a tool kit and transferable New York State registration.
Series I E-Types were equipped with covered headlights as well as taillights mounted above the chrome rear bumpers. This example is finished in black with a black soft top and top boot. Further details include a louvered clamshell hood, triple windshield wipers, bullet-style side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. Paint-meter readings are presented in the gallery.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 205/70 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. The car rides on Koni shocks, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake fluid was changed in anticipation of the sale.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated dash, door panels, and carpets. An Alpine AM/FM cassette stereo has been added, and further interior appointments include a sliding rearview mirror, a heater, and lap belts.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel features drilled spokes and frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer. Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 79k miles, approximately 25 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
The cylinder head stamping is shown above, and a photo of the corresponding engine block stamping can be seen in the gallery.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a full-synchromesh four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
A tool kit will accompany the car.
The vehicle is being sold on its transferable New York State registration, which serves as an ownership document in New York.
